Hi shooters,

with the last journal we requested your help concerning the design of a new streetshots-journal and other stuff. Thanks so much for all your notes and your interest in helping the group! We went through them, and finally decided *claytes would fit in most. We already got together and planned the next steps. I wanna use this entry to thank him for offering his free time for this project.

Soon we hope to bring new life to this group, stay tuned!

At this point we also want to thank you for all your continuous support so far.

----/Streetshots - what is it about\----

In contrast to normal photography, streetshots is looking for those rare and pure moments in everyday life and tries to capture them. Mostly this is achieved by not letting the people know they are being photographed. This is no rule or something, as there are lots of streetshots out there that are more like the portrait style, but they are still showing the emotions of the moment. (e.g. Doisneau)

A requirement for a streetshot is:

- taken on the street
- one or several people is/are the main part of the image
- no setup (but it is alright to ask the people if it's ok to take a picture)

Streetshots is a deviantart group.
This group is about a new trend photography.
You might call it a new spirit.
These pictures show real life, without a touch of anything else.
These are pictures of people that don't know they've been shot.

----/so how can i take part in this new trend?\----

1) Sign up by sending in a short note including a few lines about your interest in joining
2) Login to the streetshots-account using the passworg given to you as a reply to your approved request.
3) Submit the picture as a deviation, name it "deviationname - deviant" as long as it is not submitted for a contest.
4) Put a link to your original deviation inside of it.
5) Deactivate commenting (!)

so much for the rules, now go out and shoot
